Our Story

The Journey

Fields of Yoga was founded in January 2012 in Dubai, UAE by Julie Campos (e-200 RYT, 500 RYT, YACEP) in order to support and foster the sense of mindfulness and peace in the growing yoga community. In January 2018, Julie moved Fields of Yoga to Bisbee, Arizona in the USA when she returned to her home country after 2 decades living abroad .
Julie offers a variety of approaches and practices so that the right yoga practice is available to your particular needs. Whether you are experiencing pain or simply want to improve your physical and mental wellbeing, Fields of Yoga provides a healing, supportive and friendly environment in which you can explore and expand your yoga practice.

Tibetan Bowl Sound Healing sessions create a sense of euphoria and ease you into a blissful state of relaxation. If you've never experienced a sound bath created with Tibetan Bowls, sign up for a private session! Your mind, body and soul will thank you later! Sessions available in 30min or 60min lengths.

Gentle Hatha Yoga

This gentle Hatha Yoga class includes a slow warm up, moon salutations, sun salutations and other traditional postures as well as pranayama (breath control) and meditation. This class is ideal for the 'yoga curious' or anyone who wants to slow things down with a gentle all-accessible yoga practice.

Yin Yoga

This passive yoga practice is an excellent way to stretch and lubricate connective tissue deep within the body. Yin Yoga is different from Hatha Yoga as it involves fewer postures which are seated or prone and are held for 2-5 minutes each. Yin Yoga is great for anyone who experiences tightness in the muscle tissue and joints or who needs to reduce stress, regulate blood pressure or decompress from a hectic day.

Chair Yoga

Are you recovering from injury? Is it difficult for you to get up and down from the floor? Would you like to begin a yoga practice but not sure if your fitness level is strong enough for Hatha or Yin Yoga? Come and try Chair Yoga! We use the support of the chair to allow participants to have a full yoga practice, improve overall fitness levels, reduce stress and enhance breath control. 60 minutes

Hatha Flow Yoga

Hatha Flow takes you through traditional postures in movements that are synchronized with the breath. The postures are held for a short time and flow from one to the next which gets the heart pumping, body sweating out the toxins and the provides resistance training using your own body weight. Hatha Flow leaves your body feeling energized and strong and your mind clear.

Introduction to Meditation

Guided meditation, moving meditation and seated meditation are combined with pranayama (breath control) to lead participants to that sweet, peaceful space between consciousness and sleep where they can access their wise self, find tranquility and allow the energy to flow to mind and soul. A regular meditation practice has been proven to reduce stress levels, improve overall cognitive function and reduce the occurrence of depressive episodes. 30min or 45 min sessions available

Pre/Post-Natal Yoga

Practicing yoga is one of the best ways to prepare for and recover from the physical, mental and emotional demands of childbirth. Our specialized yoga  sessions will focus on strengthening the whole body, focusing on target areas, learning ways to calm the mind, and improving breathing techniques. Pre/post-natal yoga sessions will help you to have  positive birth experience and also recover so that you can focus on what is more important: your new baby. Participants must have their doctor's approval and have passed their 1st trimester to participate in the pre/post-natal sessions.

Kids Yoga - "Little Yogis"

This fun-filled active yoga practice is designed specifically for 3-11 year olds. Participants will learn some basic breathing techniques, fun animal postures and will be guided through age-appropriate sequences and mini-meditations, 45 minutes

Tropical Flow Yoga

This Advanced Hatha Flow class is for those who want to get the heart pumping, sweat out the toxins and lift their spirits. We'll move to the beat of Caribbean and Latin American music, move smoothly and in rhythm from one posture to the next, building muscular strength, increasing balance and getting the endorphins flowing for improved mood. Participants will leave with a healthy glow, a smile on the face and a swing in the step!

Warriors at Ease Yoga

Warriors at Ease yoga sessions are specifically catered to the unique needs of active duty and veteran military members, current & former law enforcement personnel, first responders, Border Patrol and the whole law enforcement, military and first responder community. These sessions integrate breath control exercises as a means of stress reduction, stretching and body strengthening exercises and guided meditation. Yoga and meditation have been shown to have a positive and significant impact on reducing stress levels amongst those individuals who work (or have worked) in high stress environments.
